I am a student, reader, librarian (retired), consultant, and teacher. My interests include library collections, Shakespeare (particularly in performance), narrative theory, aesthetics, embodied cognition, media theory, film, science fiction, jazz, gardening, and cooking. I spent the last 20 years or so of my official library career consulting with and training public librarians, and I still take on the odd freelance assignment.
